About Us

The Forney Food Pantry has been a vital part of the Forney, Texas community for over 20 years, ensuring that individuals and families have access to essential nourishment. Originally founded as the “New Life Food Pantry,” the organization was rebranded as the Forney Food Pantry in 2016. The pantry has since expanded its services to include partnerships with local organizations, such as Forney ISD, providing weekend food backpacks for children in need.

 

Operating entirely on donations, the Forney Food Pantry serves those facing food insecurity, offering not only groceries but also hope to those in need. Despite increasing costs for rent and operational expenses, the pantry remains committed to its mission of fighting hunger in the community. However, rising costs have led to a plea for additional support, as the pantry seeks to maintain its services and possibly secure a more affordable location.

 

With a dedicated team of volunteers, the pantry continues to provide food assistance to the community, asking for help to continue this essential service. The pantry operates as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and relies solely on donations to keep its doors open and shelves stocked. The Forney Food Pantry is more than just a place for food – it’s a symbol of community support and compassion.
